PRESERVE YOUR MEMORIES
TUESDAYS JUNE 4, 11, 18 & 25 FROM 10:00 AM TO 11:00 AM
Please join Dr. Mary Botticelli Christensen for a four part class to help you capture and preserve your memories. Each class will end with a piece of memoir completed. All stories will be held in strictest confidence to protect the writers’ privacy. No previous writing experience is necessary. Please come join the group!!
The class will meet on Tuesday mornings, from 10:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Senior Center starting June 4, 11, 18, and 25. Cost is $25.00 for the month or $7.00 per session.
Dr. Christensen has 45 years of teaching experience and the last 10 years has focused on memoir writing. She will provide a safe and encouraging space for you to learn or advance your writing.

ACRYLIC PAINTING WITH ANNE HUNTER
THURSDAY JUNE 6 FROM 12:30 PM TO 3:30 PM
Join Anne on Thursday, June 6 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. to paint a spray of Cosmos. Anne will take you step by step from base painting to fine details to complete your own finished artwork.
All levels of experience are welcome. Cost is $20.00 and includes all supplies and instruction. You must sign up and pay prior to the class.
Transportation is available. A copy of the painting is available at the Senior Center.
WHAT IS AI?
THURSDAY JUNE 13 AT 1:30 PM
You’ve heard the term, AI. You’ve heard good things and very bad things about it. But what exactly is AI besides “artificial intelligence”? Please join us on Thursday, June 13, at 1:30 p.m. as we welcome Jack DeManche, Director of Digital Strategy for Precision Value and Health, to explain the basics of AI, what it can do for good in our lives and what to be aware of. There will be time for questions and some discussion.
There is no charge and transportation is available. Please give a call and let us know if you will be attending.

May is Asian Heritage month, and celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month can be a meaningful and enriching experience. Here are some activities we have planned for May:
OUTING TO FRUITLANDS MUSEUM
FRIDAY JUNE 14 AT 9:30 AM
Join us for an outing to Fruitlands Museum in Harvard. Explore nature, history, and diverse collections. The museum admission is $10 per senior. The bus will depart at 9:30am from the Senior Center. Lunch will be at the Fruitlands Museum Café. We’ll also make a stop at Trombetta’s Farms for ice-cream on the way back to the Senior Center. Sign up must be made by noon on Wednesday 6/12.
EXPLORE DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL
FRIDAY JUNE 21 AT 10:00 AM
Join us at the Senior Center from 10am to 12pm for a fun social gathering! Enjoy light exercises, watch informative videos, and taste rice dumplings as we learn about the significance of the Dragon Boat Festival, Poet Qu Yuan, rice dumpling tradition, and dragon boat making. Refreshments will be served. Sign up must be made by noon on Wednesday, 6/5.
MOVIE ‘THE JOY LUCK CLUB’
FRIDAY JUNE 28 AT 10:00 AM
This film follows the lives of four Chinese-American immigrant families in San Francisco. Through a series of interconnected stories, it explores the complex relationships between mothers and daughters, delving into themes of cultural identity, tradition, and the immigrant experience. The duration of the movie is 2 hours and 19 minutes and is narrated in English. Refreshments will be served. Sign up must be made by noon on Wednesday 6/26.




LUNCH AT THE WAYSIDE INN
MONDAY JUNE 24 AT 11:00 AM
The Wayside Inn has been a favorite for locals for generations!! We’ll be sending the bus there for lunch on Monday, June 24.
The bus will be leaving from the Senior Center at 11:00 a.m. You will be able to order from the regular menu and be responsible for your own check. After lunch you’ll have some time to walk around the grounds, weather permitting.
Call today to sign up. Seating is limited on the bus. If you find that you can’t go after you have signed up, please call and let us know. There may be a wait list that we can fill your spot with.

BAGELS WITH THE SELECT BOARD
WEDNESDAY JUNE 18 AT 9:30 AM
A member of the Select Board will be at the Senior Center on Tuesday, June 18, at 9:30 a.m. Come and enjoy a fresh bagel and a cup of coffee and some conversation.
There is no charge and all are welcome. There have been some very lively discussions and everyone has learned from each of us.
Transportation is available. Please call and let us know if you are coming so we have enough bagels!!

LIBRARY CHAT

Visit with Library Director, Maureen Amyot and Library Trustees Jeanine Mindrum and Ed Baldwin on Thursday, June 20, at 12:30 p.m. They will talk about upcoming library events and services.
Enjoy a new library trivia game to learn cool library facts. Listen to an update on the library repair project with Q and A time.
The program will be here at the Senior Center. Transportation is available.

We currently have several pairs of glasses in the office that have been left here by their owner. If you are missing glasses, please check with Kristen.

THE SENIOR CENTER WILL BE CLOSED ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 19 TO CELEBRATE JUNETEENTH. THERE WILL BE NO MINI-BUS , NO HOME DELIVERED MEALS OR ANY VOLUNTEER TRANSPORTATION.
WE WILL RE-OPEN ON THURSDAY. PLEASE MAKE YOUR PLANS ACCORDINGLY.
BLOOMIN’ 4 GOOD
During the month of June, every Bloomin’ 4 Good Bouquet your purchase at Stop and Shop on Lyman St, Stop and Shop will donate $1.00 to the Senior Center to help with our meal programs. The bouquets are beautiful and great for gifts, graduations or any other occasion.


TAKE CARE OF YOUR FEET

Your feet take a beating every day and summer can be the worst! Come hear local podiatrist, Dr. James Karadimos, on Tuesday, June 25, at 10:00 a.m. to find out how you can keep your feet summer ready and comfortable.
There is no charge and transportation is available. There will be time for questions! Give us a call and let us know you’ll be coming.

Please remember to check in at the MySeniorCenter kiosk when you come into the Senior Center.
If you do not have a key tag, the process is very simple. You can also check in as a guest any time you are here.
It is very important that we have accurate numbers of participation here at the Senior Center. We appreciate you being helpful with this.

An Adult Respite Program – A program for Westborough Seniors with Memory Loss and Respite for their Caregivers.
Saturday Sunshine provides a structured, quality time for your loved one with memory loss. Professional staff will provide lunch and engaging activities for those who require some supervision.
