MEALS ON WHEELS
MEALS FOR THE HOMEBOUND

ARE YOU UNABLE TO PREPARE NUTRITIOUS MEALS FOR YOURSELVES?
Home delivered meals are available five days a week. A hot, nutritionally balanced meal is delivered each day at noontime. Meals are provided through the Springwell Home Delivered Meals Program (aka Meals on Wheels). HOMEMAKER
HELPING HANDS - DELIVER A DIFFERENCE

NEED ASSISTANCE WHILE YOU'RE IN RECUPERATION PERIOD?
A Homemaker is available through the Senior Center for short term placement in your home during a recuperation period, or if you are waiting for other services to begin. The Homemaker does light housekeeping. They cannot do heavy chore work, yard work or personal care. Call the Senior Center to see if this service is appropriate for you and if there is availability.
HANDYMAN
ASSIST WITH SMALL JOBS

HELPING HANDS - DELIVER A DIFFERENCE
The Handyman is available one day a week to assist with small jobs in your home. He can install window air conditioners, pull down storm windows, hang pictures, set up video and telephone equipment, install bathroom grab bars and turn your mattress. There is no charge but you are responsible for any supplies that are needed to do the job. Contact the Senior Center if you need the helping hands.
KEYLOCK BOX AVAILABLE
GIVE YOU & YOUR FAMILY PEACE OF MIND

HELPING HANDS - DELIVER A DIFFERENCE
You can have a secure KeyLock Box installed outside your home so that local emergency personnel can get to you if you have an emergency and can’t get to your door. It is also helpful if you have a LifeLine system if you push the button and can’t get to the door. The cost for the box is currently $60 and it can be ordered through the Senior Center. We will install the box, free of charge, by our Handyman. These boxes are similar to the ones that businesses use and are equally secure. It may give you and your family peace of mind knowing that emergency personnel can get to you without causing damage to your doors. Contact the Senior Center for more information or to order a box.
SMOC FUEL ASSISTANCE

FUEL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Fuel Assistance is available from November 1 to April 30 each year from SMOC’s Low Income Energy Assistance Program. Application packets and instructions can be obtained from the Senior Center after November 1. Additional assistance is sometimes available for those in need through local community agencies.

NEED ELDER-LAW ATTORNEY?
The Senior Center also has access to legal and income tax assistance for senior citizens at little or no cost. Call the Senior Center for additional information.

Battery Exchange for household smoke and carbon monoxide detectors is available each November. This program is co-sponsored by the Senior Center and the Westborough Fire Department. Call the Senior Center for more details or to sign up.
REPLACEMENT SPACE HEATER
SAFE AND ENERGY EFFICIENT

DO YOU HAVE AN OLD (ANCIENT?) SPACE HEATER?
Is it being held together with electrical tape and bungie cords? If so, we would love to replace it with a new, safe, energy efficient one at no cost. You must have an old one to trade for the new one! Please call the Senior Center for more information. Inventory is limited so don’t delay.
