WHAT'S NEW?

FALL TOWN MEETING MONDAY, OCTOBER 16

By now, we’re sure you have heard about the Town’s proposal to purchase the building that once housed SteinMart and the Boston Sports Club in Bay State Commons. Although this is a big ask right now, this building would solve the space needs of several town departments, most especially the Senior Center, and provide us with dedicated space for our programs and services.

Although the cost may seem high, to build a facility like this that will meet so many needs in the community would be much, much more and take many years to complete the process for such a space. We ask that you seriously consider this proposal and come to Town Meeting on October 16 to vote on this tremendous opportunity that has been given to the Town.

We will provide transportation to Town Meeting. Please call us by noon on Friday, October 13, so that we can get the schedule together. Thank you.
